Ready. Set. Spell.
Calling all sponsors, spellers and fans! We need your support for the 23rd annual Spelling Bee for Literacy on March 14, 2025! Your participation helps us continue to improve the reading, writing, math, technology, and ESL skills of adults in our communities.

Spellers
Five teams with up to three people per team will compete for the title of 2025 Literacy Spelling Bee Champion. The winning team will be awarded the coveted Traveling Trophy.

​​Fans
Come relax, dine, and “bee’ entertained in support of literacy.
The evening will feature a delicious meal, silent auction, and a lively competition among five talented spelling teams, all at The History Place, 1008 Arendell St., Morehead City.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. with refreshments. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.
Dinner-only tickets are available in advance for $35 per person.

Queen Bee: $1,000

Honeycomb: $500
Two RSVP dinner tickets. Name on Honeycomb Wall. Ad in Bee Program.
Bee Team: $250
Six RSVP dinner tickets. Winning team name inscribed on the Traveling Trophy and Bee Champions’ plaque. Ad in Bee Program.
Bee Hive: $200
Two RSVP dinner tickets. Name on Bee Hive Wall. Ad in Bee Program.
ABeeCs for Literacy: $100

'Bee' a Part
The annual Spelling Bee for Literacy is our biggest source of funding, and your participation will help us continue to improve the reading, writing, math, technology, and ESL skills of adults in our communities.
Whether you sponsor with a monetary donation, participate on a team, or just come for the dinner, auction and fun, all proceeds go directly to help us build better communities by educating adults in need.
